In the present economic climate we realised that we would not be able to find the original quoted price for restoration. Therefore, taking advice from the organ builders and our organists, Jean Martyn and Dennis Cornes, we drew up a revised and modified specification of essential work. We received five new quotes and have accepted one at a total of £35,000, including VAT. The work will be completed during the second half of 2011 and will ensure a fine working organ for at least 20 years. Our organ appeal fund stands at £33,544, giving us a shortfall of about £2000. We are confident that we can raise this by the time work begins. If we can raise more, then we can add more work to the list. Thank you so much to all who have made this possible. Any questions to Ian Careless (850829) or Rev. Marilyn Coulter (851168)
